Just got a Dano Longhorn with strings like this on it. In the gig bag is an old set of strings and a GHS RW Dynamite Alloy card. The old set of strings appear to be the factory strings with a 105 E string. The GHS card says .045 - .095 but I thought GHS had red silk? When I say tapered I mean the string gets smaller but its not smooth.

I recently bought a short scale GHS Boomers set for my Epi Allan Woody. I was surprised to see the set had yellow silks on the ends. The last time I bought a set of Boomers, which was roughly 2 1/2 years ago (or so) the silks were still red. I guess GHS decided to make a change.
