idea

hye, i came up with this idea for people who cant afford to change strings a lot.

what abut having a spare set of new strings for gigging? so you prtactise woith the old strings and every time you gig (in case is not every day) you put the new strings, so live you have that exelent bright sound. and maybe afetr the 50th gig you can buy another set....

i comented it to a friend and he told me he heard somewhere that this may make the strings die, can i do it?

I don't know why this hasn't occured to me, it seems like a good idea in theory but it might be bad, let's wait and let the experts jump in

Allright, it is a nice thought, but the constant loosening and tightening will lead to strength failure in your strings...it would probably last for a little bit, but in the end your going through a lot of hassle for a bit of coin.
