I'm looking for a single nylon string

I plan to buy the fender nylon flatwounds ($19.99 from musician's friend) for my sx fretless 5. I want the high c string (around .040 gauge) but have had no luck in finding one for less than $20 shipped. I am not enthusiastic about buying a single string that matches the price of the other four. Any suggestions?

Have you considered a different brand for the single string? Possibly just a different source? Where are you trying to purchase the string from that is charging you $20 shipped?

I am open to having a different brand for the high c string. I found this one which amounted to $20.37 shipped:
LaBella Black Nylon Tape Wound - Single High C I haven't found any other source.
