I'm pretty sure I'm about to start using Sadowsky Strings.

A friend of mine and fellow bass player (Doodaddy) has always raved about Sadowsky strings. He had gotten away from them for a while and was using Dunlop Nickels, which we both like as well, but the Dunlops weren't working on a couple of his basses so he ordered some new Sadowskys. I have always been hesitant to order a set because I usually don't spend that much on strings, however, after playing the Blue Label Nickels on his bass, I really want to give them a try on mine. They had a great feel and sound and I really liked the tapered B string.

I've been using Sadowsky strings on my basses for a couple of years now.

A few years ago I went through a very thorough and expensive period of trying out different string sets. I eventually settled on LaBella Slappers - for my style/basses/taste they were just right and the B strings were consistently great. But they are rather expensive and sometimes hard to come by.

'Value-wise' the Sadowsky strings are the next best thing and I've been very happy using them on both fretted and fretless. I use the Blue Label nickels.

I really loved both the tone, the feel, and the tension.

Anyone play the Blue Nickels on a P. I loved the Fender 7250s on my 50's P. Nice thick mids and punch. Can't get them anymore. And the Ken Smith Burners I am trying do not have the that mid thick sound.

I have Sadowsky flats on one of my P's, lot of growl and smooth on the fingers, love them, my other P has TI.
