Important Question About After Re-stringing

Sign in to disble this ad
Today, I broke the A string playing, and I was not 100% on how to re-string it, so I went to the shop, and the guy did it for me. When I got home to play, whenever I hit that string, it makes a weird buzzing sound. Is this normal after you change a string? And will it go away? I also have band practice in a few hours. Thanks.

It could be new string buzz or fretbuzz is my guess. Did he adjust the neck? You might have to adjust the truss rod.

It could also be that he strung it up with too few winds on the post. That will cause it to buzz at the nut.
