Indie Flats Short Scale - Any Good?

Anyone use the Indie Flatwound short scale strings that Rondo sells? Are they any good? I've searched but there's not much opinion about these strings. I guess that should tell me something.

I can't speak for the short scale set, but a few months back I took a chance on a regular scale set of Indie flats... and wasn't impressed. They felt nice (very smooth & nice tension), but soundwise they were dead. And not dead in a good, broken in flatwound sort of way. There seemed to be reduced output from them. There was hardly any fundamental either, IMO. And isn't that what we look for in flats? I ended up taking them off after two gigs.

The price is nice, but I'd avoid 'em personally. For a little extra cash (and peace of mind), you'd be better off with some shorty Chromes or TI's.
