Indie Strings???

Anyone tried them? Rondo music sells them thats where I bought my douglas 5 string bass... for $15.00 for a pack for a 5 string not bad!

I was wondering the same thing. Actually, a search lead to your post.
I bought a Douglas 6-String fretless from them. I love it with the D'Addario Nickel wound set I have on it now, but I want to try Flatwounds on it without doing a $50-$80 'test'. At $24.95, that's worth a try.

my sx came with them on it, they sucked. they were flatwound, but they were horrible. idk if the round wounds are any better, but i find its best to not cut corners on strings. its like buying chepo tires for your car.

I had some for my electric, as they were about £2 for 3 packs on ebay, they were as dead as a dodo after about 4 hours of playing, and barely stayed in tune.

I can only imagine the bass ones would unravel after a day.
