That insanely bright and snappy modern punk tone...which strings give it?!

Right...my band is recording soon, and I want the right strings this time round.

Im using some Rotosound Swing Bass strings, roundwound, standard set, and they are bright and pretty snappy.

Im tempted by the EB Slinkys in SSteel or Nickel Wound. Itll be like 95 or 100 gauge. What does the nickel in the do? Im guessing SS is the brighter option.

Im using a Jap Fender Precision w/rosewood neck and a EB Stingray w/maple neck and 3 band EQ. Ill re string both of them, but i just want the best strings that have the tight growly and bright snappy bass sound. Going through a mint Trace Elliot 400SMX 12 Band EQ Head.

Bass players like Mike from NOFX have the sound I want on the later albums. Really bright.

Ive heard EB are the punk strings to go for...

Thanks guys!

Is Stainless the way to go for bright and snappy...?

Or the nickel?

Tried googling it and it seems to be the stainless.

Are the Rotosound Swing Bass just full stainless?

Im trying to find the last packet i bought!

Thanks

Right...ive read the sticky above properly! Im into SS already due to my Rsounds...so im gonna stick with Roto, try some EB SSteel Slinkys, or GHS Boomers! Stainless treble is definitely what I want!
