I have just bought some Fender flats and Labella tapewounds!

I'm going crazy waitin for em! Post vids of you and your tapewounds (labellas if possible). Also, the texture of tapes... are they more like rounds or flats?

Thx

And I will have vids up as soon as I get mine!

I do. Sometimes it's like getting a new bass.

Here is my fretless bass with tapewounds:

They sound amazing and feel great. You're gonna love them. Are you putting them on a fretless?

I love that bass!

And possibly, it depends. I have fresh rounds on there now. My dirnt has no strings so Imma see what I like better on the dirnt (seeing it has inclined 4 rather than my EBMM 3+1) and the other set Imma puttin on my fretless. Next time I'll buy flats and tapes and whatever didn't go on the fretless this time will go on it next time.

Btw... What is your guy's favorite flats, rounds, and tapes? I use EB super slinkies for rounds, (of course) I just bought fender flats and labella tapes. What about black tapes, how are those different? For flats I know of TI, Gold Pyramid, LaBella, and Roto. And for rounds I like super slinkies and rotos.

I liked the strings on my dirnt before, they were a dull grey color with colored ball tips and no silk wrapping, idk the brand. They were super bendy and I liked that because I bend a whole bunch but not as bright as super slinkies or rotos. What would be super bendy and bright for rounds?

I had some flats for like 4 weeks on my first bass, and I've played basses with flats on em. Are there any bendy flats?

Thx guys

I now wish I put the flats on the fretted bass. Too much drag, I wouldn't notice but they have loads of drag compared to the tapes. I know for next time. Are there regular tapes and black tapes or just black tapes?
