| considering you have antiquities, im guessing your going for maybe a more vintage, warm tone? if so id suggest trying out d'addario chromes or fender flatwound strings. they really have a nice warm tone to them, and they make a jazz bass sound more full. but if flats aren't your thing, then maybe try dean markley blue steels.
fwiw, i use fender flatwounds with a jazz bass in a hardrock/blues band, and they work perfect.
