Jazz Help

I got an MIA ash passive jazz a few months ago, and it's time to ditch the factory strings. Need some help deciding, here are my thoughts:

- like the bite that comes from the ash and steel but I'd like to trade some of it in for more burp.

-Biggest complaint about the factory strings is that the E below the 4th and above the 9th has little or no warmth, sounds like a drum (this was even before they started to go dead).

-The thing I like the best about the factory strings is they have a pretty even, agreeable level of tension.

I have an old set of 45-105 sunbeams sitting around, should I use these or try something else?
