| Jerry rig string fix? HELP!!

I've been trying to get the action tweaked on my #1 (carvin lb76 with locking sperzel tuners). The strings have been detuned and retuned multiple times over the last couple weeks. WHen tuning up just now, the A won't return even close to pitch. I'm not sure if something is broken or if it is just that the silk is all rubbed off and the locking mechanism won't grip. Any suggestions for a quick fix, or do I just have to wait until my replacement shows up? |
