John Pearce strings?

Hi, does anyone here use John Pearce strings and if so what do you think of them? Are they similar to any other string brand?

I used to use them on a G&l L2000. Quite liked them. Typical nickle-wound sound. Solid clear. Decent life. Never had one break. Later on went through a Thomastic flat phase and nowadays am using DR High Beams on all three of my basses. Horses for courses...
