Jonas Hellborg strings on a MusicMan Sterling

Im thinking of trying a set of the Hellborg DRs on my Sterling.

Ive been using flats on it and all my other basses, but have been gravitating towards rounds lately. These seem like a cool string.

Anyone use them with a Sterling?

Thumbs up

Not sure Trav, but I've got them on my '75 P Bass and Peavey Zodiac and if they came in 5s (which i hear they will by NAMM) they'd be on EVERY bass I own. They are a bit of an acquired taste but I digs 'em. They almost seem to give the "thump" frequency of flats but aggression of rounds.

very fun strings and man, at like 30-40 bucks a pop, way cheap way to experiment
