Just bought a set of D'Addario XL Chrome Flats and I like!

These are suprisingly good strings and sound great on my 1974 P bass.

I usually play La Bella or Fender flats but I needed a set of flats for an upcoming gig and the D'Addario Chromes were the only ones the local music store had in stock.

I am impressed!

Nice accident! The chromes will deliver the strong fundamental you are used to with the other flats you have used but should stay a touch brighter even after being broken in.

Peace . . .

Glad you like them.

I just bought and installed a set on my defretted Toby a couple days ago, my first impression is also very good. There seem to be a lot of positive reviews on these, and they are certainly among the more reasonably price flatwounds out there.

This is good news. I've been very cautious about putting flats on this bass because I was afraid they might be too thuddy.

+101 on the Chromes. I put them on my Squier and thought they were fantastic. The sound and feel of them is great! I just put an ECB81-5SL set on my Lakland tonight. Awesome.

They're surely my favorite flats.

No wonder I'm 100% D'Addario strings.
