I got some Ernie Ball string today to replace by Ibanez set. These strings feel amazing and sound amazing. Only thing, like any bassist, that I dislike about them is the price. $39.95 at my local guitar center. But they are worth it! Anyone else use Ernie Ball strings? |

On the Geddy I changed to Roto's 66, the Nickel plated version. The Slinky's are still the other brand I use, but I discovered that the Marshall strings are actually EB slinky's, but they cost almost half of the EB Slinky's, so now I use the Marshall strings "instead" of the EB. http://www.sound1.com/images/product...ss-strings.jpg |

Check out DR,D Addario,or Roto Sound. All these strings will last longer that the Ernie Ball. |

And, I canīt recall the EB to go dead much faster then other strings about the same price.
BTW Chris Squire change his strings every gig, but I will not asume out of the that the Roto`s are short lasting.

Your guitar center is ripping you off.If you look online theres even cheaper better deals out there. 35.95 is an effing joke, dont pay that for any round wound string. Go out and try all kinds of strings and find what works for you. |

Personally, I love EB's for the first two weeks they are on, but they die quick and when they do they are DEAD. Dunlops nickles are a much better choice, IMHO. |

| | | | You got ripped off big time price wise. Theyre $16.99 for single sets and $29.98 for two sets thru places like musicians friend. Ernie Ball slinky bass strings are good though.
