Just need some suggestions

Bought a new bass a few months ago, went from a 5 string corvette classic Warwick Rockbass, to a Peavey Grind Bass 4 BXP NTB Electric Bass Guitar.

I have had the stock strings on them for awhile now and have a show tonight, wanting to finally get new ones for back up, seeing as its been awhile so theres a chance something can snap at any time with how hard i play.

I used to use DR strings but want to change. Any suggestions for strings that will continue to pull out the punchy sound of this bass, that is good for Rock, grunge, and SOME slap?

D Adarrio roundwounds in nickel are pretty much middle of the road tonally. If you want something brighter, go with stainless steel. They're a little easier on the wallet too Don't get me wrong...I love DR's/ definitely worth every penny. In these times, though, cheap & functionality at a level of at least "really good" will do.

The D Adarrio's are pretty good strings, when I used roundwounds I used D' Addario nickles and Ernie Ball Super Slinky out of those two I never liked one over the other... then I switched to flats (Chromes)

Daddario if you want smooth. Ernie Ball to accent crunch a little, GHS for neutral and very good, Rotosound for anything, lol, Doesnt mess with crunch factor and has very nice sound mix from lows to highs. DR neons for little more low bass difinition and little more brightness then rotosound.
