Question Just a quick lil' question!

Hey guys,

So I broke my Dunlop nickel A yesterday rocking out in front of my mirror <---- like that and re-strung my bass up pronto.

The strings I used were just sitting around my basement in DR hi-beam envelopes, but they are definitely not stainless-es (heh, stainless-es). I'm pretty sure they're nickels. They were on my Jazz at some point, but I have been experimenting with strings a whole lot; so that doesn't narrow anything down, really.

They have a grey wrap at the tuners (it's frayed, so I don't think it's silk), and a tapered E.

Point is, I dig 'em. Anyone have any sort of insight as to what I could be using here?

Nah, i've never bought Dean Markley.

Here's a short list of things they could be:

Stock Fenders (I think this is the winner)
D'Addarios (that I don't remember as having a tapered E)
DR Hi-Beams
