After at least 15 years of using Elites (Stainless Steel) I finally decided to try something new.
EBMM 5-string (maple neck) with Sadowsky Nickel Blues (40, 60, 80, 100, 125 tapered) -> EBS compressor -> Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 -> Genz-Benz 1x12.
Wow.
Beautiful, rich sound with enough treble clarity to give it some character.
Lovely. I think I've found my string!
(Although, I've got a set of Sadowsky Blacks - also Nickel - to try when these are dead).
Just tried Sadowsky Blues (Nickel) for the first time...
