Sounds like Ken Smith's answer to Alembic's CX-3 series.
I'd be curious to know what that Ni/Fe alloy does to the pups.

i can all ways count on you ND, thats pretty much my question, after playing fretless for more than ten years i switched to fretted about 6 months ago and i am still looking for the perfect string to reduce fret noise

Why would anybody change from fretless to fretted?

well i set up my thumb bass with a set of Ken Smith Compressor strings and i must say they are the smoothest strings i have ever played with out getting into flats, sound and play great.

I forgot Is that W/W Thumb fretless? I'm guessin' fretted

Fretted, i will get back to you in a couple of days, they are still bright. kind have got to get in the groove for the ole' double thump, kind of hard to grab the string on the upstroke. of course i just waxed my warwick and oiled the neck so the leftovers on my hand kind of shreaded the purple threads so it looks like my head stock has purple dandruff.

i think the thumb bass would have all this no matter the string.
