just wondering if anyone has tried these out and has any input to give.
I just recently put some Ken Smith medium roundwounds onto my bass and don't mind the tone.
Thing is, with the medium strings (.105-.45) i've tried so far i find that the d and g strings are brighter than i want them to be. I really like the a and e strings though. just wondering if a 70. and a 50. on the top two strings would help this.
I've talked to a guy at my local long & mcquade about them and he said they're rather dark, which isn't a description i've heard before.
anyhow, if anyone has any expierience with these strings, please tell me what you thought of them etc, etc.

I run the Heavy set (.50 -.110?) on my Samick Fairlane. They are great for de-tuning, and for some reason have a lighter feel than the Medium set of D'addario ProSteels I use on my Spector Legend 4 (both are 34" scale). They have a very deep, but glassy low end, and really sound great with a bit of grit added from the SansAmp. If you are tuning down, these are the strings for you. Overall a good string at a decent price. Try a set of DR halfrounds, it might be what you're looking for.

I like the fact that they are silk wrapped on both ends
to protect your hardware.

Sam Ash has them on closeout for 11.99 a set.
