Ken Smith price increase

Just thought I would let you folks know there was a 20% price increase on Ken Smith strings. Also Fodera strimgs went up a bit too particularly the Anthony Jackson set. Now they are anywhere from $53-$64 up from the mid $30 range.

I priced a set of TI JF 5strings--$65-ish last year, now the cheapest is $82!

Actually we have not had a price increase of substance on anything other than the AJ strings in over 2 years...we DID do a small change to our prices by rounding them all to the nearest 0.25 cents so we got rid of some kind of absurd prices like $25.63 and stuff like that.

Unfortunately the AJ strings took a jump in price because of an Excel spreadsheet mistake that I made in converting our costs to the prices that we must charge. Long story short, at the old prices for the AJ set we were losing a little money on each set...ah the beauty of Excel.

$64 is not bad for a 6 string set compared to other "boutique" strings- I adore Thomastik strings, but the comparable set is $90. $64 doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
