| So far, I use methyl-hydrate and have never looked back.
I bought some tubing and a cap(and some glue for the parts)..and some methyl-hydrate from a hardware store and soak them for about 8 hours.
Since I have a string winder(Planet Waves) it is no big deal to do this. I clean off the fretboard to boot and throw on the recycled strings.
I play pick and fingerstyle for what it is worth..
