L2000 string suggestions

What do you guys use? I did a search but little info came up. I love flats on jazzes, but didnt love them on the L2000 (not this month anyway). I really would like a duller round wound. I love the daddario nickels on other basses too, but dont love them either. Maybe a more mid focused string. I would also like to kill some of the brittleness on the g string. And cheap if you can swing that too!

thx!

Curt Mangan's are the best mixture of sound and tension that I've found for my L2500. I too normally like Dunlops but they didn't work to well on the G&L. The only strings I haven't tried on this bass yet are DR Lo-Riders or Black Beauties. Other than that, Mangans seem to be perfect for these basses.

I am usually not a D'Addarrio fan, but my L2500 came back from the G&L Factory after a nice, NICE, setup with D'Addarrio nickel strings and they sound fantastic on my bass.

I couldn't wait to rip the D'Addario's off of mine

D'Addario XLs, Dunlop nickels, DR Sunbeams and DR nickel Lo-Riders have worked extremely well for me.
