La Bella Beatle Bass BLACK NYLON Tapewounds

Just wanted to see if anyone here with a Hofner Icon/Ignition has tried these: http://www.juststrings.com/lab-760nhbb.html

They are La Bella Hofner Beatle Bass Black Nylon Tapewound Strings. I'm thinking about ordering a pair but I wanted to see if those who have tried these on a Beatle Bass had to do any modifications to the nut to get them to fit... this appears to be the case with all other black nylon strings.

I own a set of the La Bella Beatle Bass Flatwounds (.50 - .100). They are smooth but I'm not loving the amount tension these strings seem to have. I probably should have gone with a lighter gauge for less tension? And the metallic 'clack' of the strings hitting my frets has me looking at black nylon strings to remedy this.
