La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats surface finish

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a question about the La Bella's Deep Talkin' flat wound bass strings. I bought a set of 760FS and they are great. They have a very smooth finish to them. Smooth as glass. However I later bought two other sets (760FS and 0760M) and these two don't have nearly as smooth a finish on the strings as my first set. Anyone aware if there was a manufacturing change at one point for those strings?

Any way I can polish those strings to make then as smooth as my other set? My first set was glass smooth from the start (as opposed to getting "polished" from usage).

The 760FL's I use are always a bit "grabby" to start with. Its the stainless wrap.
