La Bella Hard Rockin' Steels versus DR SS Lo-Riders

I am going for an agressive jazz bass tone from the bass I ordered from Rondo Music (http://www.rondomusic.com/sjb62ct.html), and I strung my P bass with flats, so I want this bass to be agressive and growly, with not too much clank or treble. These strings seem pretty similar from what I have read, what sets them apart?

I really like Hard Rockin's Steels. They are balanced and sound great on my Sadowsky. I have gone thru several sets.

I only played Lo Riders one time and it was several years ago on a dark sound L-2500. They went from too zingy to too thumpy pretty quick. But a lot of people like them. I guess they did not match the bass.

I also put a set of Nickel Lo Riders on a Modulus Q5 and I was under welmed. But again, many like them. They were dark compared to DA XLs. And the B string did not sound good. And that's hard to believe on a Q5.

Thanks, I was leaning towards the HRS anyways, because I don't want to risk getting a dead string, I think La Bellas are a safer pick.

Both are excellent, in my experience.

Very, very similar strings. Can't go wrong for what you are doing.
