Are Slappers and Pedullas the same string and what do you think of them?

I am looking for a Nickel string with the same great B string as the Pedulla / La Bella 128 Taper.

The latest reports are that the Slappers only taper the B. I have noticed that the non tapered 105 Es in the Labella line can be thumpy and in distinct (my expereince was with steel and I believe it was Pickles that had the same experience with steel and nickel). I prefer the 100s if going not tapered with Labellas but the D and G on the RV5 are much fatter if 45 and 65. And most Labella sets are 45-105 or 40-100. Pedulla is a great option because they taper B thru D and they have a 45-100 option with the 128T B. The 128T Labella B kills on the RV5.
