La Bella Tapewounds

I just can't seem to break my addiction to these strings!
I've tried DR Sunbeams, Elixir nanowounds, TI jazz flats, and none of them give me anywhere the tactile pleasure, or the smooth action that the LaBella's do. I also love how beefy they are.
any other labella tapewound addicts out there?
One real plus is that 1 set will last you for probably the better part of a decade!

I use them time from time on my fretless acosutic bass guitar. Nice thick uprite sound. Even more so when you puta piece of foam under the strings at the bridge.
They are quite long lasting. By the way, those are flats under the wrapping.

I have recently tried a set of Fender Nylon wrappes strings, and they are quite good too.

I love them. I have them on my Icon Beatle bass. It's so much fun playing "Come Together" with them. The slides are so smooth. They feel really nice.

Try Fender tapes if you play 4 string. I like the LaBella tapewound strings also.

They are kind of a "Best Kept Secret" IMO. They have the best feel and I love the way they sound on fretted or fretless basses. I use them on a Steinberger Spirit XP bass, my defretted Fender Mustang and I have them on my Rob Allen fretless.

I plan on stringing up another fretted bass with them in the near future. You can't go wrong with a set of these strings.

LaBella vs. Fender Nylons

I just tried the Labella after using the fender black nylons and found they are different beast.

The laBellas have a smother coat which feels nicer on the fingers. The Labellas E and A strings are a good bit larger than the fenders with the D and G strings being the same.
Unfortunately for me the tension of the Labellas are much greater than the fenders. I like my strings to me kinda loose.

The fenders have a much more "rubbery" or " snappy" type of sound to them IMO. I ended up using the E and A strings from the fender set and the D and G strings from the Labella set.
The D and G strings from the Fender set are too loose IMO and dont sound as good.

Overall I would say the Labellas are a higher quality string overall but just didn't suit my likes and needs (well at least 2 of the 4 strings didn't)
