Labella 760M & 760FM - E String Comparison please

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm doing some mixing and matching with strings on my P bass to try out some tone matches.

I guess my questions is mainly for those whom have used the Labella 760M with the .110 E (Jamerson) and 760FM (.109), hopefully on the same bass and the question is in regards to the E string only.

Other than the assumed string tension, have you noticed one to have more pronounced mids or high/mids than the other?

I’m somewhat familiar with the FM set, and from doing some recorded comparison with other string brands, I’ve found the .109 to be low-low/mid heavy, which is fine, but I’m wondering if the .110 has the same characteristics.

Thanks for your help
