LaBella black nylon flat E string--Any sound difference between 34" + 35" scale ?

I have converted one of my Turner fretless basses from 35" to 34" by cutting one inch off the bottom of the neck. Worked fine. TI acousticores on this one strung EADGC.

Thinking of doing the same on my other indentical Turner fretless which has LaBella black nylon strings also strung EADGC.

Will the LaBella E string be muddier or significantly less punchy at 34" scale as compared to 35" scale ?
