LaBella flats on an SG?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently got an SG Supreme from another tb'er and wanted to put some flats on them. Has anyone had experience with an SG with LaBella Deep Talkin short scale flats?

They're great strings and not that expensive - why not? I haven't tried LaBellas on a "real" Gibson, but I like them on the other SG-style basses I've played.

Cool, would a .043-.104 set be more similar to the stock sting gauges than .049-.109?

labella flats

yeah, I use labella flats on several of my Gibson SG basses - great strings in my opinion - and one of the reasons they are so good on Gibsons, is they don't have silk windings at the ball end, that goes over the saddle and messes with intonation

I never tried LaBella's on my SG but I've got Rotosound 77's on it and it completely changed it.All for the better!
