LaBella "Jamerson" Flats+ Lakland Bob Glaub

hey--
I have a Lakland USA BG coming--I am planning on putting flats on--I was hoping that this bass could handle the heavy-gauge Labella flats (original 54 "jamerson" set). I had a set years ago which sounded great, but they eventually unwound after being taken on and off basses. They also nearly destroyed the poor little neck on a reissue jazz i used to have, since then i've used lighter sets....

has anyone used this setup??
should I have any reason to not use this gauge?...

there are other flats i like, but nothing is quite like the LaBella's in that gauge--it's the real deal

thanks for the help
tim
