Just put a set on my fretless and I love them. They sound wonderful, play fast and feel great. It's a classic Jazz bass sound that I'm eager to transfer to my fretted Jazz. But I wonder if the nylon tape strings will hold up on the frets. Any experience out there?

Am I just going to start busting strings if i put the Labellas on my fretted bass?

I've used 'em on a fretted bass. Seemed to work fine, they have that nice deep tone, with good brightness. I don't think the frets will hurt them any more than any other string. I've heard of guys keeping them on for years.
