LaBella Price Increase????

Sorry If this was already posted. I searched and could not find an answer.
Why did LaBella bass strings go up in price significantly?
I used to be able to get a set up Super Steps or Hard Rockin Steel for $12-$15 for a 6 string set. Now they're like $38 for a set of SS and $29 for HRS 4 string.
Any one know why?

Nope, always played bass. LaBella used to have excellent prices. When I played 6 string bass, they were like $12.99 for a set 30-128. Obviously you have no experience with these strings and had to in your 2¢.
