Labella((spelling?)) Piccolo Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
These have been mentioned in earlier threads, but not the specific question I want to ask about them. These piccolo strings aren't much thinner than average light gauge bass strings((being they are .80 - .30 or so)). So my questions are...
A. How effective are they((do they achieve the higher octave))?
B. Being that they aren't much thinner, would a new nut really be that big of a deal?
C. My action is already pretty high((I like it that way)) and that is cited as a recommended set-up when getting piccolo strings, with the nature of these strings and my current set-up, would a new set-up be that necessary?

I know these are kinda specific, but thanks to all in advance who lend a helping hand

Did you really bump your own thread 1 minute after you posted it?

I don't really have an answer for you though. I've used LaBella's nylon-core piccolo strings, and they work perfectly. I'm sure you could get an octave up (that's what they're made for), but I can't tell you how they're going to feel or sound specifically.

I just like to give an immediate bump to let people know that I'm listening =/
Thanks for that info mate, I guess what I'm really looking for is other peoples experiences with these strings. They're kinda expensive <.<
