Labella Tapewound ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have some Labella tapewound strings on a 34 inch 5 string fretless bass. I love the sound but the B string seems to be lacking in upper harmonics. I am considering fabbing up a new body to increase the scale length to 35 or 36. Anyone know the maximum scale length for the Labella tapewound strings? The headstock is 3 + 2.

The EXL (EXtra Long) version is for 35" basses but I think they would work fine with 36".
