Lakland 5-String Strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Lakland 55-01 and I love DR-High beams. Do regular HB's fit the 55-01/02 (length-wise) or do I need to buy some type of extra-long scale??

Thumbs up

AFAIK, All DR strings have a pretty long scale length (37", I think?), so you should be good. I slapped some nickel Lo-Riders on my 35" scale Spector Rebop 5, and there were no problems whatsoever.

My new skyline DJ 5 has Lakland strings that I like just fine. They are supposedly GHS, but I don't see any GHS strings listed that are 45 - 128. Lakland is out of stock of their 5 string mediums. The action is so pretty now I would love to be able to replace strings witout any truss rod tweeks.

Yeah they'll work. Ive really fell in love with teh MM FatBeams. They have such a smooth sound and good in the middle spectrum. Im not even going to talk about the slap tone.
