Lakland 55-02 and nickel strings: Will DR Low Riders Work? Other options?

Guys,

I've done some searches on this subject here and still have a few questions...hoping you can help!

I just bought a Lakland 55-02 Deluxe and while waiting for delivery I am now thinking about strings...

I have two Musicman Bongos and on those basses, I have come to really like DR Nickel Low Riders. Great tone and a feel.

My Questions:

1. Are DR Low Rider Nickels long enough to work with the 55-02's 35" scale neck and string-thru-body+bridge setup (vs. just through bridge)?

2. If the answer to "1." above is "no", what would be some recommended nickel strings that would work when strung through the 55-02 body+bridge that would feel/sound similar to DR Low Rider Nickels?

Note: I care less about cost than I do about feel and tone.

The Lo-Riders are long enough to string thru the body on your 55-02.
