Lakland Skyline Hollowbody - favourite roundwounds

Hey all - just this week I bought a beautiful sunburst Lakland Skyline Hollowbody from Spiritbass.

Question - what do you guys who have a Lakland HB prefer for either roundwound or 1/2 round / pressure-wounds strings?

My band plays all originals alt-country / roots-rock with a healthy scoop of punk-rock attitude and angst (never mind that we all completed our teen years 20+ years ago). I have to compete with 2 loud guitars so I tend to prefer strings that emphasize growly / punchy mids that can cut through.

i prefer Ken Smith Compressors. they're roundwounds except the outer wrap has been slightly flattened. they're more like oval-rounds. nice stout sound with some growl and not too much zing.

the first bass i put these strings on was my Lakland hollowbody with Darkstars. except for my G&Ls which are wearing Ken Smith Slickrounds, all my basses have Compressors on them now.
