One of my fav bass players, does anyone know what strings he used?

I am using La Bella flat "Jamerson's" currently but am looking for something with less tension whilst still having that deep tone.

You could probably ask him yourself. He's supposed to be a very nice person. (Then let the rest of us know what kind of strings he uses! He's one of my favorites, too.)

Obviously asking Larry directly is the best route , but I'm pretty sure he uses tapewound flats.

And tapes definitely fit the "something with less tension whilst still having that deep tone" criteria!

Larry Taylor uses Rotosound RS4000's on his upright.. So do I.
