Legacy strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
I broke my D string today, rather annoying considering I was gonna jam at school tommorow for my first time ever They only lasted a few weeks! Dunno if I'll buy Ernie Ball strings again.

I've replaced it with the D string from my old set (kinda glad I kept them) which came with the bass. I have no idea what make/gauge they are, I have it tuned but it still sounds off... I guess I'm gonna have to buy a new set

I was looking at strings on www.stringsdirect.co.uk and saw some Legacy strings at a very low price. I have never heard of them before, how's their tone, are they hard wearing? Here's the link: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/comme...etails&pid=887

I might splash out and go for some DR Low Riders... unless anyone can suggest any other good strings for a rock/metal player who likes to slap a bit sometimes?

Cheers!

I've just found some other cheap strings http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/comme...etails&pid=428 , but have never heard of them
