Legacy or Warwick?

So I feel that after over 3 years it's finally time to change the strings on my bass. I feel I need that fresh string sound back and since we've got recording in a month this may be a good time to get it.

However, my pockets on this occasion are not too deep and therefore I am pretty much deciding between 2 different brands.

1) Warwick Red Labels

2) Legacy Nickels

This would be for a 5-string Spector Legend.

I am hoping I can draw upon the experiences of the Talkbass community and get some feedback on these two products.

never heard of Legacy strings...but i dislike warwick red labels because they are stainless.

Legacy strings are great, and unbelievable for the price you pay.

Could you just list a price range that you're willing to pay? I don't know the prices on those strings off hand.

Ive never tried legacy but i really dont like warwick strings. Really dont like warwick strings.Shame they make great basses.Why only those two brands by the way?

I have Warwick yellow labels on my bass, they were good to begin with but loose their tone too quickly for my liking.

I doubt i will be back to Warwick strings for the time being.
