Lighter Gauge?

Sign in to disble this ad
The sound I'm looking for is that sound Les Claypool gets when he plays with his finger (like on hallucino genetics on his first bass solo), warm, bass yet has this natural highness.

I just bought piccolo strings but thats to high for the sound I'm looking for. So I was thinking of going for a lighter gauge like .095-whatever the g would be.

Do you guys think this would get me the sound?
