I did vote Lo Riders but I have the nickel. I also have Sunbeams on another bass and also really like them but find the more growl and bite on the low riders.

Honestly, neither. Fat Beams are the perfect match in my opinion.

I love my stainless steel DR Lo-Riders! They are a darker sounding string compared to the sunbeams (from what I've heard) and get a great low-mid growl going. What type of amp/cab are you running? I run a Spector through a GK setup and I don't think that I would want any brighter of a string (the sunbeams). I do know that Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse uses the sunbeams but through an Ampeg fridge setup so that takes care of the brightness.

I play SR4's and use nickel LR's mostly.
Use Sunbeams as well but find them a bit too
flexible for aggressive stuff. Also tried SSHB's,
found them harsh/bright for my tastes
