Long Scale Flats?

I'm looking for LONG SCALE flats for my Diamond P5. Not looking to spend a fortune, but looking for nice even tone and tension. I don't do much bending, so easy no looking for too much flexibility.

Any thoughts would be great.

I like Labella Deep Talkin Flats. They have nice tension but most of all TONE... and not too expensive imo

Do you mean "extra long" because of the 35" scale?

You might want to ask Jason at bassstringsonline, but I would imagine you'd be ok with this. Looking at my 34" fender there's at least another inch-and-a-half before the silk hits.

I would imagine it would be long enough. 35" has never meant extra long to me, but I could be wrong. I always though 36" plus was extra long.

It depends on the instrument:

La Bella Long Scale = 37" Ball to Silk
La Bella Extra Long Scale = 38" Ball to Silk

The above site has Extra Long scale La Bella flats available as well

If your instrument has a thru-body design you will need to get Thru-Body specific strings from La Bella.

Those are for a 5 string thru-body instrument that has a Ball End to Nut length of within 37"

Give me a call and I can help you find exactly what you need if you would like...

I have long scale chromes on my 35 inch schecter diamond, and they fit fine. I currently have them strung through the body.

Sadowsky Black Labels are cheaper than most -- $45 for a fiver -- and they fit my 35" Lakland no problem. nice tension, nice clarity, very even tone across and up & down the neck.

I didn't know there were such flats from La Bella. What's the model (product) number? What's different in the construction?
TIA

Basically any flatwound set is available in this and add -TB to the end.

The E string is the only string different in a 4 string set. The string has about a 2" tapered/silked section. The B string in 5-String sets is like that as well.
They are fairly new and not many of La Bella's dealers have them.
