Longer strings for non reverse head

Just bought a very nice Thunderbird copy with a non reverse headstock. The 'E' long scale string only just gets to the tuning post and is tunable. Does anyone know of any manufacturer's that make a slightly longer long scale string or would Super long scale fit better.
