Which are longest lasting steels???

So I dont want my strings to last only two weeks. What are longest lasting ones on market?
Im not interested in coated strings.

Have you tried the alcohol soak, as a way of bringing dead strings back to life? It works very well for me. I've soaked a set of strings four times, and only junked them because the frets were wearing grooves into the outer windings of the strings.

I going to buy spritus, over 95% alcohol and sink the bastards for 24 hrs. You think that I will revive the sound from new ones?
