Looking for a bright sounding string that is easy on fingerboards

I play my fretleses out several times before selling them and don't want to leavemarks on the boards but I want a brighter sound than I am getting with the flats. What do you guys suggest? Hopefully it is something that Bass Central carrys so I can get a set before Saturdays gig. Thanks ........t

I used to use GHS Brite Flats. Not sure who carries them, but they had that roundwound sound but were smooth so they didn't tear up the fretboard.

**Just looked. Bass Central does carry them.

DaDarrio half-rounds. Round sound, flat feel.

Not sure which of us you were talking to...but the Brite Flats should work fine on a 35" scale bass. And they're ground round wounds. I meant to say that in the first post.

Have you tried D'Addario Chromes? They are pretty bright as far as flats go.

I was using Ken Smith compressors on my fretless before I got rid of it. They are mostly like a round but less abrasive. I had pretty good luck with them.

The also sound good.

Not to get off-topic, but how do DR Sunbeams or Nickel Lo-Riders sound on a fretless? I'm planning on purchasing a Squier VM Fretless soon and I wondered which strings I should try.
