Hello, I'm using DR High Beams now. They're awesome, except they don't really sound good when slapping/popping, and i'd like a different tone this time around.
Anyway, I'm looking for ones that last long, are bright, and sound good when slapping and popping. Also, I'd like one that has low mid...and the smooth jazz sound... if that makes sense.
Thanks in advance

| | | | hmmm.. probably..
my amp is kinda broken....lol
it sounds bad in recording... since slapping and popping are very loud compared to finger playing and picks.... well, i guess i'll see... |

This produces a metallic 'clack' sound that can be very loud. It's usually the neck pickup. What kind of bass?

| | | | yea, it's very metallic.
i'm using a Fender Standard Precision Bass.
Hi Beams overall sound better, but the stock strings had a better slap/pop sound..
it could be the pick ups.... whatever those are *hides* |

| | | | well if it's the picks ups, would i have to replace them? I'm planning on getting a new pickguard as well. |
